Who we are
Viscera Events is a specialty premium house for hospitality and tickets, designer merchandise and guest gifts, and a cabinet of art, curiosities and books. We are the sister house to V&V. We decide how the details described here are used, which makes us the controller under UK data protection law.
To reach us about anything in this notice, including your rights, use the enquiry form on this site and choose Something else.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us and what this site needs to run.
- Enquiries: your name, email address, and, if you add them, your telephone number, organisation and message. They are sent to our inbox by email; the website itself does not keep them.
- Contact details on request: when you ask to see our email addresses and telephone numbers, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is asking. It sees your IP address and browser signals for that check only.
- Analytics: which pages are visited, roughly from where, and on what kind of device, so we can see what helps and improve the site. See Cookies below for how to turn this off.
- Server logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, records technical details of each request, such as IP address and time, to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and arrange what you ask for: our legitimate interest in responding to you, and steps you ask us to take before any booking.
- To keep the site and its forms safe from abuse: our legitimate interest in security.
- To improve the site through analytics: our legitimate interest, relying on the statistical purposes exception in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. You can turn it off at any time.
- Marketing cookies: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or use systems in, the United States. Where your details leave the UK, they are protected by recognised safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry and the correspondence that follows for as long as we need it to answer you and to arrange anything you book, and then delete it.
Analytics data is kept for the period set in Google Analytics, and no longer than 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them, to restrict or object to how we use them, and to receive them in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us through the enquiry form.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put it right first.
